Fire season has started many months early for our neighbors across the pond in beautiful Australia. An unprecedented heatwave, drought and highly flammable eucalyptus trees are just some of the factors playing a role in this raging firestorm. It has incinerated everything in its path leaving dozens of people dead and thousands more displaced and homeless. The devastating effect on the flora and fauna has decimated an estimated one BILLION animals with the “official” start of fire season just now beginning. It’s imperative we do all we can to help our brothers, sisters and wildlife down under. 100% of my artist proceeds from the sale of this print will be going toward the efforts to help our neighbors and the wildlife. I do not remember a time I was not creating art. When I was a little girl, I was always the first in my family to awaken and it was in those early morning hours I would immerse myself in my art. As you can see from my work, I also love animals. Art and animals have always been my tightly intertwined passions. Despite my artistic nature, I found myself in the corporate world for many years. With mounting stress, I began to focus more on my art for relief and in 2000, I traded the corporate ladder for a painter's ladder and started a full time mural business painting both residential and commercial murals.
